TPS7B69: electrolytic input cap

Part Number: TPS7B69

Team - posting question for customer, with TPS7B6933DBVR if we use 330uF electrolytic input cap is this sufficient? Or do we also need to add a ceramic input cap > 0.1uF?

Thanks,

Kevin

  • Hi Kevin,

If the supply is some inches away from the TPS7B6933DBVR device, then it is recommended to add a 10uF electrolytic cap and a ceramic bypass cap at the input. Moreover, ceramic caps are mainly suggested due to their price, size, low ESR and other properties.

You can use the electrolytic cap or ceramic cap depending on the needs and design.

    Best,

    Edgar A.
