Dear Kunal,
First of all I always reed the (quick) user/operation manuals, because than I have an idea how everything works or must be connected to get a good impression of the product (TPS259827LEVM & DRV887H-Q1EVM).
The connection can be in my test environment either an Peltier element (TEC1-12706 or High Power (100 Watt) resistor of 3.2 ohm. Both loads are connected to an power supply of 16V/7A!
Both EVM's where connected and adjusted the my requirements and after several hours (approximately 8) every EVM was dead!!!!
Best Regards,
Dear Kunai,
The test up is:
PSU (16V/7A) => TPS259827LEVM (adjusted to 8A) => DRV887H-Q1EVM (setting up for IN1/IN2 controlling) => Peltier TEC1-12706.
Some other question. Is there an easy to use program for drawing block diagrams
Best Regards,
Piet
Dear Kunal,
I changed only the Jumper J10 (15A). The rest of the settings where the default (as I received it).
Best Regards,
Piet
Dear Kunal,
The load current was about 6A. I suppose the TPS259827L, because nothing worked! I did some quick voltages check on the chip and there was no live at all!
Best Regards,
Piet
Hi Piet ,
How much did you set current limit of TPS259827? Since both the EVM in setup got dead I think something has happened at load side that is causing the device to operate beyond abs max rating. It is difficult to debug now what happened since EVM is dead. What help you need from our side?
Regards
Kunal Goel
Dear Kunal,
I think nothing can be done from your side. Somebody from the TI store have to decide to send me an replacement for free or not!
Thanks for All
Piet
