In the LM2576 datasheet there is a circuit (Figure 23) which has an fixed input voltage and supports an adjustable output voltage over a wide range without changing component values. Since I would presume that if you supplied something like fixed 36V to the input and possibly adjusted the feedback resistors value somewhat, you could change the 1.2-50V range to a 1.2-30V that doesn't require the more expensive HV version. Would the LM2677 support a similar circuit with 36Vin & 3-30V adjustable range but 5A out rather than 3A, i.e. Is there a set of LC components that matches the required ExV value(s)?
