Hi Team,

We are using TPS650250 to power C6746 DSP, however, as one DCDC is used to power Flash, when load becomes heavy, the output voltage will drop about 0.5V which may make the data lost.

Could you please tell if we have PMIC using DCAP control which can solve this issue? The channel used to power Flash need 500mA Iload.

Hi Jiao,

Is there a specific requirement to use only DCAP devices for this design? That will limit our choices on potential replacements. Can you also provide a power tree or power requirement list?

Hi Layne,

The PMIC is used to power C6746 and related DDR and Flash. Among the channels, one 3.3V power rail should have high dynamic response whose voltage drop is less than 0.3V when current changes between 0 and 0.5A. Do you have some recommendations?

Hi Jiao,

After doing a little more research I found that there is a user guide for "Powering the TMS320C6742, TMS320C6746, and TMS320C6748 With the TPS650061" found here. Would this work for their use case?
