TPS61241: Current limit of TPS61241

Hi Expert,

We know TPS61241 is fix 5V solution.

We want to know when Vin=5V & Vin=3.8 will it have different current limit?

I saw on datasheet is 700mA. Just wondering when Vin=5 what kind of mode does it goes? Bypass mode or Boost mode? The current still 700mA?

Hi Jim,

at VIN=3.8V, the current limit is still typical 700mA.

at VIN=5V, the device may be at boost or passthrough mode, the current limit will lower at passthrough. the typical current is 350mA at passthrough
