Hi,

I have see the BQ35100EVM dev board. We can be interested in it for test the IC. We have a TMP117EVM board, i have see it have the same microntroler than the EV2400 needed for use the BQStudio software. It would be very great if we can use the USB to I2C part of the TMP117EVM for testing the BQ35100EVM board?

Do you know if it's possible?

No you cannot use the TMP117EVM as a replacement for the EV2400.

Hi Jessica,

Thanks for your answer. The EV2400 module is a quite expensive for just testing the BQ35100EVM board. I had see(on the link below)than the Thumbus2300(less expensive) can maybe used with BQstudio. Do you think i can use it for testing the BQ35100 board with BQStudio?
Or maybe have you another solution?

Hi Ju,

I don't think the Thumbus2300 would work with the BQ35100EVM because the Thumbus2300 is for smbus, not i2c, communication. There are other USB to I2C interfaces on the market that you can use to communicate, but we always recommend using the EV2400 so you can use bqStudio to program and debug your BMS quicker.
