TPS7H2201-SP: The power consumption of part "TPS7H2201-SP".

I want to know the power consumption of part "TPS7H2201-SP".
The maximum continuous current value of "TPS7H2201-SP" is known to be 7V6/A.
If you calculate the power at this time, it is 30 watt, but I don't think it will be consumed so high.
If the current limit is set to 5V/250mA, is the calculated value of 1.25W power correct?
Or is there a difference in the value of power consumed?

    The power dissipated by this device during operation will be different than the power delivered by the switch. You’re correct that for cases where VOUT=5V and IOUT=0.25A, the power delivered by the load switch would be 1.25W.

    However, the power dissipated by the switch will be PD = VIN x IQ + IOUT2 x RON. The value of RON and IQ vary depending on the temperature and other operating conditions so the Electrical Characteristics table and Typical Characteristics graphs from the datasheet should be used to find the appropriate values to use in this equation.

    Also, the difference between the current limit and the output current should be noted. For cases where IOUT ≤ 1 A, the lowest the current limit can be set is IL=IOUT+0.5 A.
