Hi,

The target output is 5V, what do you mean that output voltage can not be higher when you rise the input voltage to 16v ? please upload waveforms if you have.

Hey Andy, maybe my question confused you, I mean,

Our target output is 5V, but now cant output 5v when the input voltage 16v,  it still is 16v output.  and if input voltage 17v, still 16v output.

The placemen of external components is good.

Is this 2 layer PCB? how is the VCC cap ground and AGND pin routed to PGND ? they should be connected with short routing trace.

• Yes two layer PCB board, PGND and AGND must be short enough?

• Otherwise will the power supply have this can not work normally

• • I did the shortest path connection with a wire and it's still the same thing

The VCC cap provide transient current for HS and LS driver which return from PGND to AGND,  so the trace should be short to avoid noise voltage seen by the IC.

Pls try to connect AGND to PGND with short jump wire to see if output regulation is improved

Pls also try below:

1, remove C16 1000uF cap

2. double check the feedback resistor value

• C16 was not soldered in use

• The problem has been solved. The chip has the wrong model
