TPS63051: About the difference between TPS63051 and TPS63050

Part Number: TPS63051
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS63050

Hi,

Customers have used TPS63051 until now.
However, due to late delivery, customers are trying to use TPS63050 as an alternative to TPS63051.
Let me ask you two questions in the background.

1.Is it correct to understand that the difference between TPS63050 and TPS63051 is only the difference in ISS specifications except for the built-in FB resistor?

2.Could you tell me the internal resistor specs of TPS63051.
They want to know the constants, accuracy and temperature characteristics of resistors.
Alternatively, the customer wants to know the FB resistor specifications required to use the TPS63050 with the same or better characteristics of the TPS63051.

Regards,
Yusuke

  • Hi Yukue,

    1. yes, it is correct. and please note that a capacitor between FB and GND should be add if select hotrod package.

    2. please select datasheet page 18 to select the resistor for the TPS63050. the resistor should only impact the DC regulation of the VOUT. the value of internal resistor is not specified and I can't share, but as the two resistors match well inside the IC, the TPS63051 has better performance at DC regulation.

  • Hi Li-san,

    Thank you for your support.
    >the value of internal resistor is not specified and I can't share, but as the two resistors match well inside the IC, the TPS63051 has better performance at DC regulation

Customers want the specifications of the TPS63050 to be as equal as possible to the TPS63051.
Could you tell me the most recommended FB resistor value when Vout=3.3V?

    Regards,
    Yusuke

  • Hi Yusuke-san,

    R1=560K and R2=180k as in Figure 9.
