Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRA821, , TIDEP-01022, LP8764-Q1, TDA4VM, DRA829
Hi
My customer is trying to design the automotive gateway using DRA821 and TPS6594-Q1 PMIC.
The reference design is the Gateway automotive reference design TIDEP-01022 ( https://www.ti.com/tool/TIDEP-01022).
It uses single PMIC with TPS6594-Q1 and discrete Bucks even though DRA821 EVM SOM Design uses 2 PMICs (TPS6594-Q1 and LP8764-Q1).
- DRA821 EVM System On Module (SOM) Design Files — SPRR424.ZIP (43931 KB)
- DRA821 Gateway Reference Design(TIDEP-01022) : www.ti.com/.../tidm738
Could you please specify which one should I recommend customer among PTPS659411FORWERQ1, PTPS659413FORWERQ1 and PTPS659414F4RWERQ1 for their gateway design if TIDEP-01022 schematic is referred?
I found TPS65941 and TPS659413 have been applied to TDA4VM and DRA829 design reference. and TPS659414 was used for DRA821 EVM.
Can I say them to use the same TPS659414 along with discrete Buck following the power supply design of DRA821 gateway up ? I asked this because the exact part number of TPS6594-Q1 was not mentioned in the document, schematic for DRA821 gateway design.
Their application does not use ASIL-B/D and MCU only mode.
In addition one more clarification needed.
Please clarify what is the major differences btw TPS 659411, TPS659413 and TPS659414.
If Device comparison table is available, It would be very helpful for customer to understand.
Thanks.
