TPS61099: Inductor selection

Part Number: TPS61099

1. TI recommends 2.2uH for Vout > 3V, and 1uH < 3V. However, customer intends to use 2.2uH for <3V due to other design constraints. Will it work? Would stability be affected?

2. Inductor size question from customer:

The saturated current and the current rating for inductor is recommended up to Amperes level, can this spec be reduced accordingly to fit my application?

The reason is the size is quite big for high rating inductor. Since my application in within 200mA, can I choose an inductor with Isat = ~500mA and rated current = ~ 250mA in this case with smaller size inductor?
