TPS56121: Could you tell me how much voltage EN/SS pin goes up?

Hi Team,

Could you tell me how much voltage EN/SS pin goes up?
My customer saw 5.5V at EN/SS pin and wants to know if it is reasonable value for EN/SS pin voltage.

TPS56121 operates normally so I believe 5.5V is reasonable however my customer wants to know just in case.
The condition is the following.
Vin: 12V
Vout: 3.3V
Iout: 1.23A(typ)

Best Regards,
Yaita

Yes, 5.5V on the EN/SS pin is normal.  The TPS56121 (and TPS56221) use an internal current source to pull the EN/SS pin up to BP, which is typically regulated to 6.5V and the EN/SS pin will pull-up until this current source is externally clamped or the current source pinches off between 5.5 and 6V.  The exact voltage measured on the EN/SS pin at this pinch-off point depends on the leakage current on the pin and the input impedance of the voltage meter.
