TPSM82810: What is the difference between TPSM and XPSM?

Part Number: TPSM82810

Hello TI experts,

my customer asked the difference between TPSM82810 and XPSM82810.

I can see XPSM82810 in product page and datasheet.

in fact I searched TI web site and datasheet, I did not find the contents about the difference.

can you help me about this?

Hi Chase,

From here https://www.ti.com/product/TPSM82810#order-quality , you should be able to see that the XPS devices are pre-production devices. These are made available for sampling before the full release of the product, which is typically done with the TPS device part numbers.

For this specific device, the TPSM was released in December. The XPSM devices should be made unavailable soon.

i realized that XPSM is pre-production device.

1. you mean that TPSM and XPSM don't have any differences in particular specification?

2. TPSM would be unavailable after XPSM is officially released?

Hi Chase,

For this part number, the part numbers are the same technically. TPSM is the final part number that you should use. Please do not use the XPSM part number anymore.
