TPS2595: About the resistance value of the ILIM terminal

I have a question about RLIM of the power load switch "TPS259541DSGT" with high-speed overvoltage protection.

Although the data sheet states that RLIM is Max 5000Ω (current range MAX 0.5A) Due to our mistake, we designed the circuit as 12000Ω (current range MAX 0.2A).

At this time, it seems that the overcurrent protection function is operating around 0.2A, What kind of trouble will occur?
Is there anything such as the current limiting accuracy cannot be maintained?

Thanks for reaching out!

Selecting resistance outside recommended range will deteriorate the current limit accuracy. The device will still current limit but you have to verify on your system the accuracy it is offering. I would advise to change the resistance to a recommended value for reliable operation.

Hi Hideki,

Outside recommended range we can not say for sure how accuracy will vary. You will have to test it on your system. Can you change RLIM value now? At what stage your design is?
