TLV741P: Effective capacitance for output capacitor

Hi team,

My customer is considering to use the TLV741P. The d/s recommends minimum 1uF for output capacitor. Could you tell me the minimum effective capacitance required for the output cap?

The minimum effective capacitance in this case is 1uF.

Thanks for your reply. Doesn't this device allow nominal 1uF cap for output since the minimum effective capacitance is 1uF?

Hi Takashi,

On further review, while the datasheet does not list it as such, you are correct: a 1uF capacitor is required and this assumes 50% derating. So the minimum effective capacitance is 0.5uF.
