TPS717: Errors in datasheet or misinterpretation?

Hi team,

Please find some customer feedback below. Are these actual errors or is there a misinterpretation?

I have gone through the data sheet of the TPS717. I noticed two things:

  1. Section 8.2.2 (page 18 below) describes how to design the resistors for the feedback divider. Equation 4 is linked here. Shouldn't this be Equation 3?
  2. Section 8.2.1.2 describes in detail how to dimension the feedback divider. With the given equation I cannot reproduce the values in the table below. I think the "-1" does not belong under the fraction but behind it. So R1=R2*((Vout/Vfb) -1)

    Hi Franz,

    1. Yes this should be equation 3.  I've added this to our datasheet correction log to be corrected during the next revision of the datasheet.

    2. The customer is correct, this equation for R1 listed in the datasheet is incorrect and I would fix it as the customer describes.  This is listed in our datasheet correction log.
