LM20136: Webench Error says Phase Margin is too low

Hello,

I'm trying to understand this error on Webench.  

"Phase Margin is too low

Phase margin:  -9.72 < Specification 30 deg."  

However, my phase margin is 72.522 degrees.

What is this error trying to flag?

    Could you please share us the design condition for which you are observing this issue. 

    You can also share the design link using "Share Design" option.

    Atul,

    Something interesting happened.  When I printed out the report on Friday it said the "

    "Phase Margin is too low

    Phase margin:  -9.72 < Specification 30 deg." 

    Today when I opened it up, the design didn't have the error.  Is there a refresh button or something that I was supposed to press to get rid of this error?  I only saw the "recompensate" button which I didn't want to press since I wanted to use my values for the components.

    Hello Kimberlee,

    Please note that there has not been any change in the backend equation. There is no button other than re-compensate button to correct the the error. However you can still share the previous design with us where you were observing error.

    Go to My designs, search for the design (created on Friday) and share the design link so that we can have better look into the issue.

    Atul,

    No problem.  I found that the tool has a slight bug.  It'll give you an error like mine even when the design does not have that specific error.  To get rid of the error you must either sign out and sign back in or click over to another design and then go back to the original design.  This error does not disappear by a simple refresh of the web page for whatever reason.
