UCC3895: UCC3895 Full Bridge Phase Shifted High voltage output.

Part Number: UCC3895
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC2895

I intend to develop a Full Bridge Phase Shifted converter with input voltage of 385V and output voltage 340V @ 2A. I would like to do this with the UCC3895 which appears to be a controller for this function. However I couldn't find the maximum output limits for this controller in the datasheet, (I don't know if it supports 340V at the output). Could someone answer me this, if it is possible these voltage values for this controller? Or if there is a development tool for this controller, I did not find it on the TI website.

  • Hello,

Your design is for 680 W and you could use a phase shifted full bridge controller or an LLC do to the zero voltage switching.

The controller itself does not limit the power it can be used for in an end power applications.  This is based more on the semiconductors, thermals and efficiency goals.

Phase shifted full bridge controllers that used the UCC2895 have been designed in applications by customers from 200 W to tens of kW.
