Hi,

I have 1st prototype board with BQ20Z655.

The SMBUS communication was established but no working for the charging and discharging.

So, I'd like to set the data flash operation Cfg A, B, C registers.

can you please let me know how can I set the register value using EVSW step by step?

I read the Technical reference but can't understand. can I use PRO screen in EVSW?

I want to set Operation Cfg A value = 0f21, Cfg B value = 2E48, Cfg C value = 0d30.

Hello,

You can use the pro screen or enter in the values you want in the dataflash page, this would be the easiest for testing.

That's my question. I cannot understand the tech reference. it's so confusing

Hi,

Easiest way to do this is:

Open EVSW Data Flash-> Configuration, change the values Operation Cfg A value = 0f21, Cfg B value = 2E48, Cfg C value = 0d30, then Write All.

Hi Abraham.

thanks for the information.

I followed your direction but it was not changed. These configuration is still default value.

battery voltage is 15V and pack+ voltage is 17V and no problem to write flash.

can you please give me the advice for that?

Hi,

Please make sure gauge is communicating normally with the software and gauge is in full access mode. You can refer to SLUU697 EVM user guide for more information.

Hi Abraham, I reviewed bq20z655 technical reference.

1. P.56 - bq20z655 is shipped in this mode --> this mode means UNSELAED MODE or Full access mode?

2. P.89 - to get into Full access mode, need to write FullAccessKey( 0x61) with 2 word value.

---> What is the 2word value to get into Full access mode? I cannot find the value to write for getting into Full Access mode.
