Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25618, LM10506
Hi team,
We use BQ25619 with a portable product. It connects to a 18650 Li-Ion cell and the main system board with an MCU controlling the BQ25618 is powered by the PMID output. A LM10506 provides core and VIO supplies for the MCU. To conserve charge on the battery, we actively put the BQ25650 in ship mode when applicable. This removes all power to the main system board and minimizes current consumption from the battery. We get it out of ship mode by activating /QON with a switch. We need the booster to start operating immediately when the BQ25619 is forced out of ship mode with /QON pulled down (VBAT > VBST_BAT), without host control. Is this possible? It seems that whenever BQ25619 is put in ship mode (BATFET = OFF), the registers has POR values -> BST_CONFIG = 0. This is a major problem for us as LM10506 VUVLO_RISING = 2.9V condition is never met with VBAT < 3.5-3.6V if the booster is not running and consequently we have no active main system board and MCU to set BST_CONFIG = 1.
Best regards,
