LM5100A: LM5100A using issues

Part Number: LM5100A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5101A, UCC27289, UCC27282, UCC27284

Hi TI expert

May I know if LM5100A could directly connect 3.3V CMOS?

Is TTL compatible with CMOS ?

Best regards,

Thomas

  • Hello Thomas,

For compatibility with 3.3V CMOS, I assume for the driver inputs, the LM5100A will not be compatible. The LM5100A has high turn on thresholds of 5.4V typical. Within this driver family the LM5101A is compatible since the threshold is 2.3V maximum.

There a newer drivers you should review which are similar to the LM5101A. The UCC27282, UCC27284 and UCC27289 drivers are newer drivers with improved performance.
