TPS25940: What status would FLT and PGOOD be when Vin is 0?

Part Number: TPS25940

Hi team,

If I remove the Vin, what status would FLTb pin be? The test result in datasheet shows that FLTb pin would hold low. While the datasheet also tells that  'V(IN) falling below V(UVF) = 2.1 V resets FLTb', what does it mean? It seems indicate that the FLTb would be changed to high since the device has lose the power. So please help confirm the status of FLTb. Also the status of PGOOD pin when Vin is removed (the device lose the power).

Thanks!

  • Hi Jayden,

When VIN is removed it will be less then V(UVF)=2.1v and then device will not get minimum required voltage to correctly operate the internal circuitry for driving PGOOD and FLT pin. Consider the case you have pulled PGOOD and FLT to some supply using resistor . Now when you remove input supply  FLT and PGOOD will go low for around some seconds which will vary from device to device and after that duration they will be high.
