BQ27441-G1: bq27441 inquiry

Part Number: BQ27441-G1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO,

Dear TI experts,

We are using bq27441-G1A fuel guage for measuring the SOC. Using Polymer Li-ion battery.

We are programming following configuration Parameters in data memory in RAM:
Design capacity , Design Energy, Terminate Voltage, Taper Rate.
I am confident that these values are being set as I am reading them Back.
I have also enabled SOC smoothing feature, by writing 0x0F to OpConfigB register.
1.SOC accuracy issue
As mentioned in quick start guide, learning cycle is not required for this bq27441 G1 gauge .So I have done charge-relax-dischage-relax cycles manually, so that the battery does self learning procedure.
But there is no change in the accuracy of full available capacity and full charge capacity and remaining capacity.
The Design Capacity is 150mAh, but getting the full available capacity = 88 and full charge capacity = 55.
I have also monitored QMAX_UP bit and RES_UP bit in Control_status Register. It was not getting Set.
I have gone through threads in Forum where is was suggested to perform Learning cycle on bq27441 using bqStudio and EVM board.
But since the fuel guage is already having Impedance Track Algorithm, It has self Learn the parameters of battery and give accurate results.
Is there anything I am missing to configure in the fuel Gauge so that it does the self learning without requirement of golden image generated using bqStudio?
2.Chem ID
As bq27441-G1 is ROM based gauge, and chemistry ID is fixed, is it needed to verify the chemistry ID for battery profile?

I have a doubt  whether we need to verify our battery profile matches with that fixed chemistry ID of  bq27441G1-A ?
Battery we are using  :  LP401730-PCM-LD , 150mAh

Also checked the document to verify CHEM_ID using GPC Tool : https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slva725a/slva725a.pdf?ts=1617696429011

In the Section 3.1 , there are steps to carry the tests.
Do we have to carry the Steps and record the Logs manually  for every Time interval between 5 - 100s  ?

Thank you so much.

Regards,

Jonard Rico
