Hello team,
My customer would like to design isolated DC-DC with LM25184.
The following is the specification.
Vin 20-26 V
Vout 15V
Iout 2~3A
Isolation is needed at output.
The customer tried to do webench simulation, however " Design cannot be created." was shown as the result of webench.
Is the power consumption too large for LM25184?
If yes, what do you recommend in TI devices?

1. 15V/2A,3A is too large power for LM25184. In my opinion, customer should consider a flyback controller.
2. You can send the attached calculation tool to your customer. They can learn more insight principles if they are interested.

3. The Isw_peak is typically 4.1A. You can calculate Iout_max with the following equation.
In your customer's application. The minimum input is very close to the output, which will limit the Iout_max. If you use a want large Nps, it will lead to a large duty cycle. That's another reason why we can't out put a 15V/2A.
