TPS25200: Inquiry about CL value of TPS25200

Part Number: TPS25200

Hi, Support Team

A customer is developing TWS Credle.

Inquiries were received during development by applying the TPS25200.

In the circuit diagram below, a 10uF cap is connected to the 5V output of the TPS25200, and 4.7uF*2 is connected to the VDD terminal of the MCU.

[TPS25200]

[MCU 5V input]

Customers are concerned about surges or peaks because too high capacitance is applied to the 5V line.

Is the applied capacitance an appropriate capacitance?

I want to set the capacity of the cap connected to the 5V output of the TPS25200 to a lower value. How much is it possible?

Please confirm.

Thanks.

Regards,

MJ

  • Hi MJ,

Thanks for reaching out. For device to work there is no minimum requirement of output cap at output. Some Cap at output helps in absorbing the voltage  surges. They can choose cap value based on surge they can expect in their system.
