Hi.

My company is going to use BQ25730 this time.

The bq25730 is controlled by i2c, but our product cpu works only by pressing the power button.

So, can the bq25730 be operated when the charger is plugged in while the I2C is not working?

I know that the full functions can be used only by using i2c.My question is, can I charge the battery without i2c even if I don't use all the features?

I would like to be able to charge by plugging in the charger while the CPU of our product is turned off. Is it possible with the BQ25730, and if so, how?

BQ25730 needs I2C for charging. Suggest BQ24610 standalone charger controller.

You may pick BQ25713, which has AUTO_WAKEUP feature. This feature sets 128mA default charge current even with a dead battery, without I2C communication.
