TPS3840: Propagation detect delay for VDD falling below VIT (Tp_hl) data

Part Number: TPS3840

Hello Team.

I would like to know about TPS3840DL29DBVR

 Tp_hl shows 30usec (max) at Ta=-40degC to 125degC.

I want to know its spec at Ta=-40 to 85degC

Do we have any referential data to provide ?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Jin

  • Hi Jin-san,

May I ask the reason for the Tp_hl at Ta=-40C to 85C?

I dont believe we have data at +85C.  The specs in the datasheet are guaranteed over -40C to +125C.  If there was data, TI will not be able to guarantee the data from -40C to +85C.

Is the +125C max spec Tp_hl not meeting the customer's application?

  • Hello Ben,

    Thanks for your reply.

Their system specify the Ta=-40dC to 85dC and our spec at -40dC to 125dC is larger than their expectation.

Then engineer hoes to know that.

Of course I understand that we cannot guarantee its specs at -40dB to 85dC. So I want to show our data as referential information.

Since our spec is guarantee at -40dC to 125dC. We should have the data in tighter temp range.

    Best Regards,

    Jin

  • Hi Jin,

We do not have characterization data at 85C for the open drain version of TPS3840.

As mentioned, the TPS3840 has specs that are guarantee from -40C to +125C and should meet their -40C to +85C expectations.  One thing to note, the specs in the datasheet meet process corners, operating voltage range, and temperature range (PVT).
