USB-PD-CHG-EVM-01: Can TI-CHARGER-GUI and USB2ANY be used with USB-PD-CHG-EVM-01?

Since TI-CHARGER-GUI appears in the "Order & start development" section on the product introduction page of USB-PD-CHG-EVM-01, I think that charging can be set with USB2ANY and TI-CHARGER-GUI.
The device that can be selected with TI-CHARGER-GUI seems to be Charge IC: BQ25792, but looking at the circuit diagram of USB-PD-CHG-EVM-01, BQ25792 is not directly connected from the USB2ANY connector.
I tried to select BQ25792, but it shows Not Connected at TI-CHARGER-GUI.
Is it possible to set the BQ25792 via TPS25750 at TI-CHARGER-GUI?

Hello,

You can connect the USB2ANY I2C pins to pin header J7 and talk to the BQ25792 with the TI-CHARGER-GUI that way.

I am connecting to the EVM's J7 via the USB2ANY, however I still cannot get the CHARGER-GUI to work. Could you share in more detail how you got it to work?

Dear Boris,

You need to attach jumper wires from the header of the USB2ANY to the USB-PD-CHG-EVM-01 pin header J7 (ie male to female). Attach...

1. Cable pin number 6 (GND) to the J7 pin closest to the "J7" silkscreen.

2. Cable pin number 9 (I2C:SCL) to the second J7 pin closest to the "J7" silkscreen.

3. Cable pin number 10 (I2C:SDA) to the third J7 pin closest to the "J7" silkscreen.

With this wiring I managed to connect to the BQ, however this would mean that the schematic in the design guide is wrong. Please see screenshot for reference (taken from TIDUEY1).
