TLC5940: Short flash of LEDs during power-up

Part Number: TLC5940

Hi!

The TLC5940 is power by a 5V domain for VCC and the BLANK signal have a pull-up to 5V.

To prevent random channel turn-on, BLANK should be pulled high firstly. For this reason I have a pull-up to the 5V.

The LED:s are powered by another domain VLED=3.7V.

I use a DC/DC to generate 5V from the VLED=3.7V supply. For this reason the VLED supply is available before the 5V.

The issue I have is that during turn-on some of the LEDs briefly flashes and then they turn-off.

Is the LED Driver output states for the LEDs not defined before the VCC supply is stable?

I guess the reasons for the short turn-on of the LEDs are due to the 5V supply comes alive a few ms after the VLED?

Is there any way to make sure the LEDs are off during start-up?

Best regards

Joakim
