TPS7A85: Schematic and layout review request

Part Number: TPS7A85

Hi Team,

My customer just finished art work of their new board mounted TPS7A8500.

Could you review their schematic and layout quickly and point out if there is not good point in it.

You can find the files from here(internal link)

Regards,

Takashi Onawa

  • Hi Onawa-san,

We will follow up with our review in the by the end of tomorrow.

  • Hi Onawa-San,

     - Because the SS is being used, the enable signal must be turned on after VIN and VBIAS are turned on. Customer needs to ensure timing is followed.

    - Because of the potentiometer being used on the feedback loop, output voltage value cannot be confirmed. Customer needs to ensure these values are correct.

    - If the PG signal is being used, a pull up resistor must be used. otherwise the pin can be let floating.

    Best,

    Juliette

  • Hi Juliette-san,

Thanks for reviewing that quickly. I should be helpful.

Then, Can I have any feedback for their layout in the folder of my link?

(If you want to point out something using their layout capture, please share it under offline, I think you can find my email address just copy and paste my name on your outlooks send to form with (ctrl + K) command )

    Regards,

    Takashi Onawa

  • Hi Onawa-san,

The layout for this part seems fine as long as, between the layers, there is a ground plane to help shield from noise.

    Best,

    Juliette
