TL750L: Quiescent Current over output current

Part Number: TL750L

Dear Specialists,

My customer is considering TL750L12CLP and has aquestion.

I would be grateful if you could advise.

---

According to the datasheet, Quiescent current is described as 1mAtyp and 2mAmax at the condition of VI =11V to26V, Io=10mA, TJ=0°C to 125°C.

How does the quiescent current change for all over Io(0 - 150mA)?

---

I appreciate your great help in advance.

Best regards,

Shinichi

  • Hi Shinichi,

The ground pin (Quiescent) current would normally increase with the load current. Due to the age of the device (released in 1987), we don't have a curve that we normally have for newer LDOs on the ground pin current change over different loads.

Please use the datasheet number listed in the table as shown below, normally we would expect the current to increase proportionally to the load current.

  • Hi Hason,

    Thank you for your reply.

I understand the quisescent current is proportionally calculated from the full load spec.

I'll share this information with the customer.

I appreciate your great help and cooperation.

    Best regards,

    Shinichi
