LM25011: LM25011 doesn't start-up at specific condition

Part Number: LM25011

Hi team,

One of my customer has been using LM25011 and the inductor(VLP6045LT-220M) which has been used with the device will be EOL.

Then, they changed inductor to alternative one(VLS6045EX-220M).

There are 3 power rails using LM25011 from 24Vin. Each power rails are as follows.

  • 12V/1.2Amax
  • 5V/1.6Amax
  • 3.3V/1.2Amax

For some reason, only 5V/1.6Amax doesn't start-up with alternative inductor at -40C condition.

The others start-up successfully even with alternative inductor and -40C condition.

Regarding 5V/1.6A rail, when the inductor is returned to original one(VLP6045LT-220M) , the device starts-up even if it's -40C.

This phenomena is repeatable.

Do you have any idea what causes this issue and how can they solve this?

Schematic can be found from here(2nd page) which can be accessed via TI internal network.
