TPS62810-Q1: Difference of TPS6281x series

Part Number: TPS62810-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62813-Q1, , TPS62812-Q1, TPS62811-Q1

Hi

I would like to use TPS62812QWRWYRQ1 for the product under development.

However, in preparation of shortage during mass production,
I consider replacement with TPS62813QWRWYRQ1 or TPS62810QWRWYRQ1.

In order to consider the replacement is possible or not,
I want to know the difference of TPS6281x series.

According to datasheet,
the difference of TPS62812QWRWYRQ1 and TPS62813QWRWYRQ
is only "Output Current" and "High-Side MOSFET Current Limit".

Is there any other difference?

I'm concerned about the difference in the internal structure of IC.(internal FET etc)

Best regards,

Hayakawa

  • Hi Hayakawa,

As you mentioned in description TPS6281x-Q1 device shares different FET current limit. Apart from this the internal compensation network set for 1A/2A and 3A/4A is different. That's the reason there is different output capacitance requirements for the devices suggested in table 9-1 and table 9-2.

You can replace TPS62811-Q1 and TPS62812-Q1 with same external components while higher current variant like TPS62813-Q1 and TPS62810-Q1 requires more output capacitance.

Please let me know if you have further questions and I will send friend request if you would like to share confidential information offline.

    Best regards,
