LMR33620-Q1: IC burn-off problem

Part Number: LMR33620-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62273

To whom it may concern

In a design I use the LMR33620C-Q1 (2.1MHz) to generate a 5V supply from a 18 - 30V input supply

I experience the IC burns off randomly when the input supply is applied and I can't figure out what the reason are.

The maximum load on the 5V supply is 1 - 1.2A included the load on the TPS62273 3.3V supply which use the 5V supply as input supply

The application circuit is shown in the attached file.

As I am stuck in the debugging, can anyone comment what I should look for in order to check what the root cause might be?

I have seen a similar problem with a LMR36503MSC3R IC which I have entered in another thread

Looking forward to hearing some comments

Regards

Henrik
