Hi,

I tested IOUT_OC_FAULT_LIMIT function.

When I changed the value of IOUT_OC_FAULT_LIMIT, the function operated in normal.

But When I changed the value of IOUT_OC_FAULT_LIMIT under 5A , the IOUT_OC_FAULT_LIMIT operate and VOUT fall to zero. But after remove the overload, the VOUT never recover.

Why does it happen?

When you tested IOUT_OC_FAULT_LIMIT at above 5A, does Vout recover? DO you change the limit through source code or through GUI?

More likely, it is latched.

VOUT recover normally above 5A. And I change the limit through GUI.

Hello,

Sorry it takes a while to set up the board. I did some tests. When the IOUT_OC_FAULT_LIMIT was changed, I looked at the register setting, it did change. Per the code, the PSU should restart after the fault is gone. At your case, the IOUT_OC_FAULT_LIMIT is changed too low, and possibly, it is less than current amplifier output, so after PSU is shut down, but fault still exists and causes PSU being latched. Your test is abnormal, I think this is scenario for your case.
