BQ2000: bq2000 PVD?

Part Number: BQ2000

When customers use tps54360dda, they find that VIN, SW and GND are short circuited together. What is the general reason for this?

There are two explanations for triggering PV function. Which of the following statements does the customer want to confirm?, Or is there another explanation?

1. The chip will always update the detected maximum voltage and save it. When it detects that the battery voltage is less than 3.8mv, it is considered that the PVD function is triggered

2. The maximum voltage is a fixed value. When the battery voltage is detected to be less than 3.8mv, it is considered that the PVD function is triggered

  • Hello,

Page 9 of the datasheet says that the charger "also samples, at a rate of MTO/128, the voltage on the BAT pin and triggers the peak detection feature if this value falls below the maximum sampled value by as much as 3.8mV (PVD)." This means that the maximum value is updated and saved, as it is referred to as the "maximum sampled value." So explanation 1 is correct.

    Thanks,

    Mike Emanuel
