Other Parts Discussed in Thread: GPCCHEM
hi all, on the first attempt I got wrong capacity of battery... now I'm running out of the time, could you please check whole procedure I was using?
Following datasheet 8.2.2.1
- design capacity = 2300 mAh,
- design energy = 2300*1.2V = 2700 mWh
- cell charge voltage: T1-T2: 1500 mV, T2-T3 = 1450 mV, T4-T3 = 1400 mV (I'm guessing here)
- default LED and Alert configuration (no LEDs, no alerts)
- number of series cells = 1
- pack configuration: default
- no external voltage divider
- 100 mOhm sense resistor value, it doesn't fit CC Gain and CC Delta due to 40 mOhm limit, I leave those as default (10.1 mOhm)
- Load Select: default
- Load Mode: default
- Cell Terminate Voltage = 1000 mV
- Quit Current: default 40 mA
- Qmax Cell 0 = 2300 mAh
- I program chemical ID Sanyo BK-250A since it' a closes NiMH battery similar to AA
- Calibrate temperature: internal temp sensor, I type room temperature
- Calibrate current using external ampmeter
- Calibrate CC offset: zero current condition
- Calibrate Board Offset: zero current condition
- I run optimization cycle as in SLUA334B:
- I discharge battery in circuit with C/20 to 1000 mV
- I wait 2h
- I click "Enable IT" from command list
- I charge the battery to full
- I wait ~2h
- I discharge batteries to 1000 mV using C/20
- I wait 5 h
- I repeat charging and discharging
I did fail here with capacity (I got 1300 mAh, cell was tested with professional charger / discharger and it has 2250 mAh)
I'm running the procedure again on blank device, could you tell me if I'm missing something?
