TPS65130: for +12V/100mA and -12V/100mA

Hi Sirs,

My customer want to use the TPS65130 for 5Vin to +12Vout and -12Vout to supply power on OPA, they would like to know the each output current can support up to 300mA?

Is it available to use it on the RC4558 for +/-12Vin power source at same time?

Hello,

Please use TPS65131 instead of TPS65130 device. TPS65131 has higher switch current limits and should be able to support 300mA load current with the conditions you mentioned.

Hello Henry,

From maximum current perspective, inverting converter limits it first and for VIN=5V, Vout=-12V, load current of approx. 100mA can be achieved with TPS65130. You can take a look at figure 40 in datasheet which, while for slightly different condition, should give you a rough idea as well.
