TPS27081A: Shutdown Current

Part Number: TPS27081A

Hi Team, we would like to confirm the shutdown current on what part of the datasheet and also the current consumed during the shutdown state.

Thank you.

-Mark

  • Hi Mark,

The following rows show the shutdown currents of the device:

    Thanks,

  • Hi Shreyas,

Pg 1 says Shutdown Current = 0.3uA and nothing on Pg 5 correlates to that figure. What is the relationship between the two leakage currents for the OFF state given on Pg 5 and the Shutdown Current figure on pg 1? For example, do you add the two OFF state leakage currents together and they equal the shutdown current?

    Thank you.

  • Hi Mark,

The I_load specification refers to the current that flows through the powerFET and the IF_Q2 specification refers to the leakage through the control NFET. This is spec'd at the given test conditions as changing the R1 value as explained in the NOTE on page 11 of the datasheet.

As such, changing the voltage or R1, could result in changes in the leakage seen during OFF state.

The total leakage will be the sum of the leakage through VIN and the control FET, you are correct in this assumption.

    Thanks,

    Shreyas
