Load capacitance is specified on the datasheet as below.

Is this assumed to use the following recommended crystal?

If another crystal is used, does load capacitance depend on the crystal?

Hi Kuramochi-san,

That exact crystal does not need to be used in your system, however the chosen crystal will need to match the crystal characteristics in the section of the datasheet you have shown in your first screenshot. As long as all of these parameters are met the crystal should operate properly.

Also please note that not all part numbers of TPS659037 require the external crystal. I would recommend reviewing this guide to see if your chosen OTP will require a crystal.

27pF is used on TMDSIDK572.

Hi Kuramochi-san,

I am not sure about that specific design, however it is possible they created that design while taking capacitor derating in to account. My best recommendation is to follow the datasheet guidelines.
