BQ21040: BQ21040 charge status

Hi,

I have connected Battery charger CHG pin directly to the controller. After full charge or no battery, I am getting Low on CHG pin.

No any change on CHG pin. Please see the image below for schematic.

Hello Manish,

Low (FET on) indicates charging and Open Drain (FET off) indicates no Charging or Charge complete. More details in section 8.3.6 of d/s.

I need to add pull up or keep internal pull up on controller pin. correct me if i am wrong.

Hi Manish,

Yes, this is correct. The device will then pull low or be Open drain (seen as high due to the pull up) depending on state.
