TPS54318: Feedback Resistor Mismatch

Hi Team

I am using TPS54318 in my design. In section 7.3.6,it is recommended to use 100K for R1, but while simulation Webench R1 is taking different value automatically.

What value should I implement in my design? Why there is a difference?

Hi Srikanth,

The 100k FB resistor is a starting value only. Typically, you can use a slightly higher value to reduce the current consumption of the FB resistors. If voltage accuracy is critical to your application, decreasing it by 10x should be fine as well.

What is the recommended value in Webench?

Hi Srikanth,

The schematic diagram from WEBENCH looks fine. If you want to reduce the current consumption across the FB resistors, then you use 100kohm on R1.
