BQ25731: terminates charging

Guru 29690 points

Hi Team,

Is it a reasonable way to apply low level to ILIM_HIZ to terminate charging?
I would like to know if there is a way to terminate charging with pin control (not I2C access).

Best Regards,
Yaita

  • Hi Yaita,

Yes, you can disable charging by putting ILIM_HIZ under .4 V. When the pin voltage is under .4 V, the charger will enter high impedance mode (Table 7-1. Pin Functions, pg.6)

One way to do it is with a GPIO switching from from high impedance to sink (GND the pin). It will have minimum effects to other operations when you don't want to pull ILIM_HIZ to ground.

    Thanks,

    Peng
