LP87524P-Q1: Replacing the LP87524P-Q1 with a LP87524T-Q1

Part Number: LP87524P-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR2243, , MMWCAS-RF-EVM

We are working on a custom design based on few AWR2243.  The PMICs on the MMWCAS-RF-EVM reference design are LP87524P-Q1, but they have a long lead-time (~40 weeks).

Can we replace the LP87524P-Q1 with a LP87524T-Q1.  After a boot, our main processor will configure the PMIC with the right output voltages.

Thank you.

  • Hello,

LP87524T-Q1 is operating at 2 MHz switching frequency and LP87524P-Q1 is operating at 4 MHz switching frequency and it will affect the ripple performance and hence it is better to use LP87524P-Q1. Also, both the devices are coming from the same family and even if you use LP87524T-Q1, it may have long lead time once existing stock gets over. Looks like even LP87524T-Q1 has very limited stock currently.

    Regards,

    Murthy
