  • RE: PWM parts with PMBUS

Danny Cheng1 It will depend on what PMBus features they are looking for and the range of output adjustment for a single output. For converters with integrated power FETs, our PMBus solutions are designed for considerably higher current levels…
  • RE: TPS40400: Operating current question

K.Shidara The VDD bypass current has a small positive temperature coefficient, but the dominating contribution to the variation in operational current is part to part variation. Operating at a specific condition will not significantly reduce…

  • RE: TPS40400: Fusion Digital Power Designer I2C Issue

Thank you Daniel. Most likely, the 10k pull-ups to a 3.3V rail were not providing a fast enough rise-time to effectively create "logic 1" values for 400kHz communications. I am glad we were able to address the issue.
  • RE: TPS40400: Fusion Digital Power Designer I2C Issue

Hi Peter, My customer changed the pull ups on the board from 10kohms to 2.2kohms. I2C communication picked up after that. Thanks for your help. -Daniel
  • RE: TPS40400: Fusion Digital Power Designer I2C Issue

Daniel Carlson The first item that I see is that the interface dongle is configured for Open Drain, so the interface is relying on pull-ups on the board, so double check to make sure the board they are interfacing with has on-board pull-ups for the…

  • RE: TPS40400: Dutymax question

K.Shidara Yes, the maximum duty cycle of 85% at 1.2MHz is measured with the 2.2nF loads added to the gate drivers. This loading increases the minimum OFF time by the high-side rise time but decreases it by the high-side Falling time. Since the falling…
