Dear Sir

We  have test turn on TLV62080 in 5Vin 2.5Vout/1.2A. the out rise waveform is smooth.

but when we modify EVB let output is 1.2Vout/1.2A.(Vin also 5V and just change FB resistor). the output rise waveform are no smooth as enclosed file.

Is there have someting miss, pls advice~~(TLV62084 also have the same problem)

  • What is your waveform showing? What are the channels?

Do you use an electronic load? This usually behave poorly/erratically during startup. Resistive loads are recommended.

C1 is output voltage waveform, C2 is switch node waveform , c1 is output current. here is use electronic load. and my customer is concern this.
May we check the waveform is normal in TLV62080/62084?
  • In reply to Chen Bogey8:

Can you add Vin and the real output current (measured with a current probe) to the waveform? The bottom channel looks like a math operation done and not the actual load current.

In any case, this basically shows why electronic loads are not good at transient testing. I'm not sure how you have it set, but once Vout is already at its final level (20% time), the load current is still changing. Then, it seems like there are some small oscillations in load current before Vout falls down. Retest with a resistive load.

    Hi Chris

    i re-test EVB in 5Vin/1.2Vout/1.2A start up condition.waveform as attached . CH1:Vsw CH2: output current CH3 Vout.

i have no find the issue as customer provide. bur the output current is delay Vout around 200uS.

May you pls help check my test waveform is correct or not?

  • In reply to Chen Bogey8:

Yes, this is another common issue with electronic load--they have some delays. This looks normal.
