UC1863 excessive current at high temperatures

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC1863

We’re running at about +100C down to about -40C.

I can’t speak to exactly what is happening with the UC1863 (I can get more information); however, during test we soak the units at the hot extreme and we see excessive current draw on our input power supply.  If we burst the IC with cold spray (short burst < 1 second), the current draw returns to normal, and as the IC heats up again it returns to the high current draw state.

Any suggestions as to what might be the problem? Thanks
