Maybe I am missing something. I don't see the following reference designators on AN-1221:

R1, R2, R3A, R4, C4, C5, C6, C7, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6, J1, J2

I'm trying to modify this board to be a SEPIC as shown in figure 3 of SNVA550:

Without a good schematic that matches the layout diagram on AN-1274, this is pretty hard to do.

I'm confused - the schematic I'm looking at only has 1 diode, 4 resistors, 4 caps, and 1 inductor - am I looking at the wrong schematic?

that is exactly my point. The schematic does not match the layout. Take a look at the board layout on AN-1274. I'm trying to find the schematic that matches this board layout.

Hi Guys, 

I just checked out the picture on the EVM page, http://www.ti.com/tool/lm2623ev,  and there are several parts not populated. Maybe that is the missing parts. Sometimes this is useful for board rework and testing. 

The EVM must have been made with a CAD package of some sort, schematic capture, PCB layout, gerber and drill generation.
So the original schematic for that PCB will contain all the reference designators used.

Yes, that is what I am looking for. Can someone pull the schematic capture and publish a PDF?
