BQ24120 with low input current on 5V supply, causing 'done charging' message

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24120

I am charging a 215mAh Li-Ion battery using the BQ24120 set to 100mA charge current.  I am powering this part wirelessly using an AC receive coil, rectifier, and then a 5V buck regulator (LT3480 with up to 2A supply capability) to supply the 5V VCC to the BQ switcher IC.

It appears when I am attempting to charge at far physical distances, when my 5V supply to the BQ24120 cannot source the current required for the charge, the BQ24120 may be measuring that "low charge current" and changing its status indicator to "done charging" even though it really was not.

Anyone with similar experience using a BQ switcher with low input current?
