TPS61045 control range

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61045

Just a quick question. In this IC there is a control pin which allows user to control the output voltage. Is there a range limit to how much the output voltage can sweep across? If I set R1, R2 and R3 correctly, can I change the output voltage across from 10 V all the way to 24 V.  Will there be any disadvantage of doing wide range output voltage control. Also, is there other boost convert IC that has the control feature like TPS61045 but allows higher output current.(probably around 40mA) Thanks for your help.

  • i think it is possible to change the Vout from 10V to 24V. but i'm wandering why you need this wide Vout range, and when device startup, the Vout may be in 17V. you should take care that this voltage doesn't damage the load.

sorry but i don't see other device has the same function as TPS61045, but you can use similar method to change the Vout.
